
( Khara Bhath)
Khara bhath is a popular south and east indian dish which is generally people are eating in breakfast and evening snacks.
Ingredients:-
- Rava – 1 cup
- Water – 4 cups
- Onion – 1
- Tomato – 1
- Carrot – 1/2
- Ginger, finely chopped – 2 tsp
- Red chilli powder – 1/2 tsp
- Coriander powder – 1/2 tsp
- Garam Masala powder – 1/4 tsp
- Turmeric – 1/8 tsp
- Coriander leaves, finely chopped – 3 tbsp
- Cashew
- Ghee – 1 tsp
- Salt – As needed
- Oil – 1 tbsp
- Ghee – 2 tbsp
- Mustard – 1/2 tsp
Method
- Put Rava in a heated pan stir it till the Rava looks bit brown then make it separate.
- Heat a kadai and add oil then 2tbsp ghee mustard and cashew nuts(as required) . Add very finely chopped ginger, slit green chilli. Roast until the dal, cashew turn golden. Add sliced onion.
- Once onion turns transparent, add finely chopped vegetales, chopped tomato. Fry for a minute in medium flame.
- Add turmeric, red chilli powder, coriander seeds powder, garam masala and salt. give it a stir.
- Add rava and roast well for a minute.
- Add boiling water carefully to it in low flame and cook until its like porridge.
- Cook covered for 8-10 minutes. Stirring in between.
- Delicious Khara Bhath is ready.
